Collaborate: Add your art to the Temple
So – you’d like to contribute to the Temple, but can’t make it out for the build? That’s okay, there’s plenty of ways in which you can collaborate by contributing art which we will then install in the Temple on-playa! We understand that not everybody can take their summer off to go and spend it building, but we also recognize that many many people want to be involved in the build.
The Temple has had a powerful effect on many of us, and its natural to want to share & enable that effect for others, so we feel that if someone wants to help build the Temple, well, we gotta find a way to let them. The Temple is a community space, built by the community, for the community, and we’d love you to join in this project by creating one(or several, its up to you) of the following Temple components.
Each different type of component comes with several descriptive terms that indicate how complex or challenging the project is, what you’ll need to get it done, when we need to receive the completed component and so on. Each component also has a link to dedicated page that talks about the component in more detail so you can get a better idea of whether its a project that will fit you. We have some metal components & some wood components, and we encourage everyone to use scrap material wherever possible – no point creating a bigger environmental impact than we have to!
Each component will have to be a certain shape & certain dimensions – but after that, the design, decoration, look, feel, and texture of the component will be up to you: everyone has their own creative style, and their own message to communicate, and we’re happy to let you explore that.
If you see something on this list that appeals to your creative side, please let us know via this short survey, and we’ll get back to you shortly!
